Tony + Tyler are MARRIED!! This past Saturday, the friends and family of this sweet, laid-back couple gathered at Independence Golf Club for a perfect Fall wedding!

The week of Tony + Tyler’s Wedding, Tyler emailed me and said she ran the Richmond Half-Marathon the previous week and thought she fractured her foot and would likely have to wear a protective boot under her dress!! The same week, Tony’s suit was delivered to him in a WAY bigger size than he ordered, so he bought a new one off the rack with the prayer that it would fit un-tailored! The same week, the weather was just a few degrees too chilly for their outdoor ceremony, so they made the decision to change their vision and move it indoors.

Time after time, the ~2 weeks before the actual Wedding Day always include some curveballs!!! But I’ll tell you what, Tony + Tyler’s ACTUAL Wedding Day was the perfect day in every way. Even though a few things didn’t happen as they were originally planned, the day was filled to the brim with joy!!

In our experience when things don’t go as we planned, it means God always has something better in mind.

I LOVE photographing Weddings at Independence! Megan and her staff are unmatched in customer service – they really do go above and beyond for their couples! Plus they have two different choices for Bridal Suites (one is a beautiful cabin across the golf greens where you can choose to stay the night!!) and both of them are full of natural light!!

Tyler honestly could have rocked this boot all day and still looked like a Bridal angel!!

Tyler’s stepmom hand-painted this champagne bottle and then surprised Tyler with it at the Rehearsal Dinner! I am loving this trend to pop champagne with your girls on the morning of the Wedding!!

They both wrote letters to each other to read before seeing each other!

I am so excited to finally be able to share some of our Bridal Session we did together! I could photograph this beautiful woman all day long!!!

Tyler shared a bunch of First Looks!

Tony + Tyler met while working together at Food Lion!! Tyler was a cashier and Tony was grocery! Shortly after they realized they were taking a college course together and ended up sitting next to each other since they were already acquaintances. The rest is history 🙂

I love how genuine they are together!! Nothing about their love is forced. They are so in love!!

This was a really sweet ceremony and I loved how their pastor spoke such true and uplifting words over this new marriage. He said to keep the perspective that their marriage was a beautiful gift from God.

Because these newlyweds did a First Look and all of their portraits before the ceremony, they were able to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests before the Reception started.

Remember when you emailed me that it wouldn’t be “you guys” if strange things didn’t happen right before your Wedding? What if those curveballs were actually God being like – hey, I have something better for you. I pray that He continues to surprise you this way throughout your entire marriage – and that in those moments of change, I hope you embrace it as gracefully as you did this day!! But now you get to do that as husband + wife!!!  You two are so laid back and positive about everything. I found myself constantly in awe of how perfect you two are for each other. You both also have such loving and wonderful families who love you both SO much!! We are all cheering for you and we can’t wait to see how your marriage knits you even closer together. Wishing you the BEST HONEYMOOON!! We love and adore you both!!
