Having grown up within a few miles of each other, it is kind of crazy to think that they didn’t cross paths until a few years ago! Even though Billy + Kelsey did not go to high school or college together, they had a ton of mutual friends. They finally met in 2014, when a friend of Kelsey’s moved into Billy’s house. When Kelsey went over one day to visit her friend, the two of them immediately hit it off! They became inseparable for the next few years spending time with friends and family, going on vacations together, and being dog parents to their German Shepard puppy, Weber!
Here are my two cute photography interns for the day!! These flower girls even helped me style some of these detail shots and took pictures from their own angles with these polaroids!
The Proposal Story: On July 4th, 2017, Billy popped the question in front of the couples’ friends and family during a cookout he put together. Kelsey actually recalls him wearing a tank top with Lincoln riding a bear when he proposed!! Billy did agree to wear sleeves for their upcoming Wedding Day! Haha!!
This high cut neckline and an open back paired with an elegant low bun hairstyle looked AMAZING on Kelsey!
Goodness gracious, Kelsey!!! You are so gorgeous!!
Not 3 miles down the road, Billy and his guys got ready at his childhood home. Billy’s Dad made this wooden bar himself!!
Kelsey totally embraced Billy’s first love…deep sea fishing! She gifted her favorite catch a new fishing pole.
This past Saturday, Billy + Kelsey said “I do” in one of the most beautiful churches in Baltimore, Maryland, which was then followed by an even more beautiful reception in Annapolis, Maryland overlooking a bay FULL of sailboats. These newlyweds LOVE being on and near the water.
When the doors opened and Kelsey appeared with her Dad, we all got chills! Music filled the grand room and the two locked teary eyes almost the whole way.
The couple arranged to have Weber made quick appearance before leaving for Annapolis!! He is such a sweetie and even smiled on cue!
We don’t see a lot of cake smashes, but when we do our couples do not disappoint! Haha!!
The newlyweds infused some of their heritage into the reception with the “Hungarian Apron Dance.” Someone holds an apron and collects money in exchange for a QUICK paced polka dance with the Bride. At the very end, the Groom fights his way to the apron holder, tosses his WHOLE wallet in, and then sweeps the bride off her feet while he caries her off of the dance floor!!
Billy + Kelsey,
Do you guys remember when all the commotion died down and it was just us on the docks? Occasionally, a boat would come by and honk their horns or cheer congratulations, but these quiet moments away from everyone were some of our favorite moments with both of you. You were able to just take a few minutes and BE newlyweds, and we could see how truly in love and in sync you are together!! Kicking your shoes off and sitting on the dock holding hands — I can tell that being by the water is your happy place. I hope your future is FULL of great married moments like this! Whatever life throws at the two of you, I know you can both tackle it together and come out on top!! Your love for each other is only going to strengthen and we are so excited for all the new ways you are going to get pulled even closer together! We adore you both!! Have a GREAT time Honeymooning!
Love,
The Tuckers
