Michelle + John were married last Saturday at the Estate at Whitehall Vineyard. The entire day was incredibly heartfelt. Michelle planned such an intentional and special day where family was honored and friends were loved like family.
Michelle had pieces of her mother’s Wedding dress sewn into the edges of the veil. It was so light and delicate – the wind caught it perfectly!
Privately and separately, Michelle + John exchanged special letters and gifts during the morning. John got Michelle a beautiful bracelet and she surprised him with a Fossil watch.
Both were blown away at the thoughtfulness behind each gift!
These two are a Match.com success story.
After talking for several days, John asked Michelle out on a first date back in 2017. He planned a very elaborate date including dinner and an Escape Room. Michelle admitted later that she very nervous going into such a long first date! They both ended up having such a blast!
“I knew that if John could survive me bossing him around to beat the Escape Room, he was a keeper. John says he was immediately drawn to my competitive nature and was eager for a second date. We had several dates over the next month and before the holidays we were a couple!”
These grand reveals with Family + Friends were so sweet!!
Michelle was going walk down to greet Grandma, but she powered up the stairs to give Michelle a big hug before anyone could argue with her!
Michelle carried her Grandma’s prayer book down the aisle with her. It’s been in the family for many generations. Grandma even said it belonged to her Grandmother!!
The Ceremony space was tucked away under the long branches of this big ol’ beautiful tree!
John Proposed at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront on 9/7/18. John convinced Michelle to join him on a work trip, which took her some convincing since she was busy training for her first marathon.
We arrived at the beach Friday afternoon and spent the afternoon relaxing by the water. We had planned to go to Watermen’s for dinner, but when we arrived, there was a 45 minute wait. We continued walking down the boardwalk until John insisted on taking photos down on the water. I thought this was odd as John never was one to voluntarily want to take pictures. After the photos were taken, John asked me if I liked them. I responded, “They’re OK.” John asked,
“Are they good enough to hang up for forever?” as he then dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him. I of course said, “Yes!”
I love these branches!!!
Loved this group of friends!!!
Michelle, you’re a bridal vision!!
The Reception took place upstairs in the venue’s barn.
Michelle + her Dad actually had NO idea what song was going to be played for their First Dance! They sent a lot of song options to their DJ and the DJ ended up making a remix of all of them combined!
The rest of the night was spent dancing, eating homemade sweets, as well as Shyndigz cake, and a sundae bar with Gelati Celeste Ice Cream!
John + Michelle,
Congratulations, you guys! Marriage already looks so good on you both!! Your whole Wedding was such a beautiful day devoted to celebrating two beautiful people!! This day was full to the brim of special moments – From when you both had tears in your eyes as you met on the aisle all the way to the dance floor when I looked over and saw you two bouncing up and down completely in SYNC and giggling!! You two just have it, and we are honored to have been your photographers. Cheers to the Newtons! We love you both!!
Love,
The Tuckers
