Andrew + Mary | Wedding at Shirley Plantation

July 4, 2018

Two weeks ago, Andrew + Mary were just going to do a quick courthouse ceremony, just the two of them. Andrew recently got his orders to deploy to Honduras for a year, which made them want to speed up the wedding process.

They quickly changed their minds to have a small ceremony to celebrate with their two immediate families, who were ecstatic!

In two weeks, the sweetest Wedding came together. A total of 20 Family members gathered at Shirley Plantation at a moment’s notice to celebrate.

This day was full of loving moments. Mary’s Grandma wrapped her in a warm hug after placing a beautiful strand of pearls that were from Mary’s Great-Grandmother.

Instead of walking down the aisle, Mary + Andrew chose to do a “First Look” type of greeting. Andrew stood facing away while Mary approached him and the rest of the guests under a big tree.

This is a “make it happen” kind of family. Many of whom flew in from all over the country.

Andrew + Mary grew up on opposite sides of the country – a mix of Hawaii + California for Mary, and Andrew grew up in New York – so it’s pretty wild that they literally met in the middle in Texas when one of Mary’s cousins and his best friend at work introduced them.

On their first date, Andrew missed the exit on the way to take Mary home after dinner, so they ended up playing games and talking all night long! It’s an ongoing joke that Andrew missed the exit on purpose to casually extend the date and hang out with Mary as long as he could!! After that they became inseparable.

How pretty is Mary’s bouquet?! She chose flowers and greenery that reflected her Hawaiian roots!

We mean it when we say "Experience First, Photography Second." When you feel at ease, fully present, and well-cared for, the result is imagery that is both beautifully candid and happy memories that your loved ones will talk about for years.

Our role goes beyond documenting. We create an atmosphere where you can relax, connect, and celebrate, allowing us to capture moments as they naturally unfold. The laughter, the quiet exchanges, the joy of family gathered together - these are the details and moments we know matter.
