For their Anniversary Session, Claudia + Ryan met us on their ACTUAL anniversary in downtown Richmond, Virginia!!

Five years of dating is a huge accomplishment for a young couple – especially with today’s mindset of “you need more, better, etc.” These two don’t let that cloud their love for each other. From the start they knew they’d found something too special to ever let go.

Ryan just adores her! I mean, how can you not?!

Not only is Claudia running her own flower business Daisies Over Diamonds, but she is just about the sweetest girl I know with such a huge heart for others. Ryan just lights up around her and it was such a good reminder for Sam and me to be thankful that we got to fall in love so young, as well.

They met and started dating in high school and now are building a life together in their shared hometown, Warrenton. Five years of watching each other learn the balance of being an independent adult as well as trusting another human with your very vulnerable heart – it’s so beautiful to see these relationships come to fruition! Especially this one, because Sam and I have been rooting for these two since WE were dating and fumbling through what it looked like to love each other well, while still giving each other room to grow.

We got super excited when we saw how glowy this Fall sunset was unfolding over the river!! This picture above on the left, Sam crouched in a bush (such a boy move) and he came out with the CREEPIEST, city spider on his arm literally the size of a golf ball. Scared me to death, but he showed me this shot from the back of the camera and it was totally worth it! (Just glad he experienced that and not me!!!)
