Brandon + Hannah | Wedding at Linden Row Inn

Happy Tuesday, friends! If you’re ready for a really feel-good Wedding post, then I’ve got the best couple to talk to you about today! We are extra excited about this wedding because Sam and I used to be in YoungLife with Hannah back in high school, so we’ve witnessed first hand how greatly she loves others.

Plus she’s just a cool girl and is totally nonchalant about it. She wore gold TOMS shoes, has biblically meaningful tattoos and she will have you literally laughing out loud with her quick-witted humor. (Just wait until you read about their first date.)

We actually met Brandon for the first time during their consultation over ice cream. It was clear that he was just a big teddy bear that loved fruity-flavored sherbet and that he absolutely loved Hannah.

Everyone got ready at the Linden Row Inn. The boys were upstairs and the girls had a beautiful bridal suite a few floors down. When we walked in the girls were smiling and ironing their perfectly mismatched grey bridesmaid dresses. Moments later, Amanda Burnette dropped off a set of some of the most beautifully designed bouquets.

I love these shots of Hannah and her Mom. Beautiful buttons lined all the way down the back of Hannah’s dress. To finish the bridal look, her Mom tied a white ribbon around Hannah’s waist.

Holy moly, Hannah! You are GORGEOUS!

Before we get to their First Look, I want to share their first date story with you.

After connecting on Tinder, the two agreed to meet at a local restaurant for breakfast. However, last minute Brandon cancelled due to a severely upset stomach.

Brandon apologized and asked if she’d be willing to meet him later that night with some friends. (The Best Man and his wife!) Hannah was also having a rough day – (her beloved hedgehog was dying!!) but she decided to still meet up.

They ended up hanging out at Brandon’s house and Hannah cried over her dying hedgehog while Brandon consoled her. By the end of the night he asked her to be his girlfriend. Hannah said NO!

Hannah kept saying no to the girlfriend title for another 3 months until he finally wore her down. They dated long distance for a while and then one day about 5-6 months into their relationship when Hannah was saying goodbye, told Brandon she thought she loved him. He said, “I think I love you too.”

Hannah asked “Well how much? Like what percentage?” To which Brandon replied 95%, and Hannah got mad because she said she was definitely at 100% !

Right after telling me this earlier today, Hannah said “Don’t worry, I just checked with him and he’s at 100% now.

As I walked with Hannah to their First Look she said, “I can’t believe this is happening and that the day is here!”

They were both so excited during their First Look. Sometimes couples don’t know what to do or say after a minute, but we literally had to shyly be like “Do you still want some portraits?” They would have just talked and hugged and kissed for another hour if we let them!

The Proposal | Brandon and Hannah had just finished building a fire pit together in their backyard and threw a cookout to celebrate. Brandon had told Hannah that something might happen that weekend, but the right moment after moment came and went! Hannah said she was like what the heck! At one point she said to Brandon JUST PROPOSE ALREADY! To which Brandon said no! Haha!

She didn’t think he would do it during their cookout and she was caught off guard when he held out a ring to her – standing! Once she realized what was happening, she started teasing him that he was doing it wrong and then he got down on one knee. This time she said YES!!

Brandon said he realized she was the one pretty early on in their relationship. “I just realized I wanted to experience the rest of my life with her by my side. She has one of the biggest hearts that I’ve ever seen and known.”

“He’s such a great communicator. He’s so funny and patient. He’s been by my side since Day 1 with my dying hedgehog, grad school, medical stuff and family stuff. He’s never made me feel insecure or unsure of how he feels about me.”

The ceremony space was the perfect size for this wedding. I loved the feel of the open-air courtyard on this Fall day. The string lights and fountain added an extra cozy touch.

We did all of their portraits pre-ceremony so that the couple could enjoy cocktail hour with their guests, which was fantastic because we also snuck them away for a few minutes of golden light at sunset without guests even realizing they were gone!

When the newlyweds returned back to cocktail hour, the ceremony space had magically transitioned into the reception. This Wedding day was perfectly coordinated by the amazing Jenny Keen with Keen Weddings! Jenny + her assistant were ROCK. STARS. Working with her was a dream!!

Brandon’s favorite thing about Hannah is her “shuffle” dance, which I might have captured below! He says it cracks him up because she reminds him of an elderly person getting pulled off stage by a hook!

You guys are just the best! Your wedding day was absolutely one of our favorites and we are so thankful to you for allowing us to bear witness to one of the most important days of your life AND trusting us with the responsibility of preserving it for generations to come. You both are genuine, kind and absolutely a joy to spend time with! Your marriage will be unstoppable as long as Brandon learns to not step on the back your dress, Hannah! (Haha!) We loved you both before last weekend. We just love you even more now!! Cheers to a lifetime of rescuing dogs/hedgehogs, hanging out on the couch, dancing like goofballs and being 100% in love!
