Lindsey + Jacob are MARRIED! Last Saturday, two of the sweetest college sweethearts said I Do at Morais Vineyards in the countryside of Bealton, Virginia.
We were extra excited to learn that these two met and fell in love at VIRGINIA TECH!
This was our first time shooting at Morais since they’ve built their new Bridal Suite! It was filled with so much pretty window light!
We felt every emotion throughout the grand reveals, first with the Bridesmaids, and then with Dad!
Lindsey had two something blues; one of them being a heart necklace that was a locket containing pictures of her late grandparents.
Loved these beautiful girls!!
Jacob and his Groomsmen got ready upstairs in the Palacio, with equally incredible window light!! (One of the many perks of this venue is that almost every room has beautiful light!!)
These smarties were Biology Majors together at Virginia Tech and worked together on group assignments. Lindsey was excited when Jacob asked her out, but hesitant when she heard his elaborate idea for their first date. Jacob wanted to go to dinner, a movie, and then ice cream all in the first date!! Worried it was too much, too early, Lindsey suggested they just casually go to the movie. The two ended up getting to the movie almost an hour early and then talking until it started!
The solidifying factor of their early relationship was being there for each other during college finals. Lindsey jokingly thanked Jacob for loving her when she was stressing over schoolwork, wearing sweatpants everyday, and asking for their dates to include studying at Cookout + Wafflehouse…and for bringing her favorite blue gatorade whenever she needed it!
Between summers, they luckily only lived an hour apart, making a lot of visits to each of their family homes. Lindsey started a new job right after graduation, but needed a place to live, so Jacob’s family welcomed her into their home for almost 8 months!
The two took a trip back to Blacksburg one Summer not long after graduation since both still had friends living in the area. Their plan was to go to Beliveau Winery early in the day, and then to go tubing afterwards, but Jacob convinced Lindsey not to plan on tubing afterwards. After a tasting with friends, they bought a some bottles for a picnic. As Lindsey went to open the wine, her friends suggested to take a picture! At the top of the hill overlooking mountainous views, they took a bunch of photos with their friends, but Jacob was being weird and would NOT take a picture with just Lindsey… even though he was having an internal panic that due to poor cell service, he couldn’t get in contact with two very important people to signal him they’d also arrived!
Jacob waited for the right moment and as he and Lindsey were taking their picture together, he started proposing!! Lindsey didn’t even realize what was happening until he got down on one knee!
Their friends captured everything!! Lindsey told Jacob she wanted to call her Mom, and Jacob replied “Why don’t you just tell her in person?” Lindsey looked up to see her parents walking over!!
Their Ceremony was beautiful and so heartfelt!
A special moment was when Jacob’s Dad read a Native American prayer over their new Marriage, which was a tribute to their family’s ancestors.
One of my favorite characteristics about these two is how genuinely they care for each other. Sam and I witnessed so many moments behind the scenes with them that just made us say, wow, they’re really truly in love.
This dress was made for twirling!! It was layers full of sparkle!
It’s far too hard to pick just one favorite flavor by Shyndigz cakes – better to get a table of cakes for guests to sample them all!
A really unique and fun detail we loved was that they displayed napkins with fun facts!
Lindsey’s brother not only dedicated a song to the newlyweds but he sang it!! He was so good!!!
Make it Count Entertainment was without a doubt one of the best DJs we’ve ever worked with!! This crowd loved to dance!
Lindsey had one more surprise for Jacob hidden in her garter…a shot of Fireball!!
This crew jumped to Enter Sandman and then a round of LET’S GO HOKIES” had everyone cheering!!
Jacob + Lindsey,
This day was absolutely incredible and it flew by, didn’t it?! You two are such a beautiful couple and we could not be happier for you. It was very touching to see how much you two love each other, even when the cameras weren’t pointing at you! You really do light up around each other and that is a love we know will only grow stronger within your Marriage! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your team cheering you on!! We adore you and your families!! Wishing you both the best HONEYMOON!! Oh and…GO HOKIES!! 🙂
Love,
The Tuckers
