If you followed my Instagram story (@Petietucker) you could tell how excited Sam and I were to make this scenic drive from Richmond down to Blacksburg, Virginia – to spend time with a bunch of HOKIES in a town we hold so close to our hearts!!

The school and town motto UT PROISM translates into “that I may serve.” Making this motto a practiced lifestyle is one of the secrets to a fulfilling and flourishing marriage. 

Lucy and Bimi met when Lucy was in high school! One night, Bimi messaged Lucy through MYSPACE! Their friendship blossomed and turned dates at Sonic. They have been best friends and sweet hearts through many of life’s milestones, always knowing they’d eventually marry when the time was right. Now years later, these two have a calmness and steadiness in their love.

The deeply-rooted kind of love that builds a foundation for a lifetime.

Lucy’s sweet Mom helped her into her gown. It was a really special and quiet few minutes that just the two of them shared.

Their families and friends all wanted to be in on the good stuff! We planned FOUR first looks because everyone was so excited to see how beautiful Lucy looked on her Wedding Day! They knew they’d be dazzled by seeing her for the first time and asked me to document every sweet moment of that!

The most emotional reaction came from her girls!! Delighted squeals and gasps followed with lots of happy tears.

The most tender hearted moment one was from her Dad and beloved Stepmom who looked at their little girl with such adoration!

But the most special one was the First Look she shared with her son, Tatum. Little Tator Tot ran through the doors and was mesmerized by Lucy. He just beamed up at her!! I asked him earlier if he knew what today was about and he said “Duh, my parents are getting married today!” Haha! 

Lucy and Bimi didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, so they held hands behind a wall while their longtime pastor and friend prayed for the start of their marriage.

When he actually did see her for the first time it was perfect!

All the guys decided to grow out their beards for the occasion…some needed a little improvising!

Lucy, you are SO incredibly beautiful!

Apple Orchards are definitely my new favorite venue!!

Her Dad said the sweetest things in his toast. He asked if she remembered when they used to look up and stargaze, and he would tell her all of the great things he wanted for her life. Then he said that this was better than he could have ever hoped.

More Newlyweds spotted!!! These two discretely made funny faces at each other the ENTIRE CEREMONY. Guys, please never change!

Lucy is the perfect height for Bimi’s forehead kisses. You guys are going to love being married!!!
